1) Does the CBB support COOL? [and other policy issues which may come up]
As the administrator of the beef checkoff, CBB cannot take a position on policy matters and cannot lobby. These are matters producers should take up with their industry organizations.
2) Why do people think cattle are ruining the environment? Can’t CBB use our checkoff dollars to tell a positive story about beef production and the environment?
A great example of this effort is a Website called Beef From Pasture To Plate dot org [beeffrompasturetoplate.org] that helps explain our business and our commitment to quality. It is focused on how we produce cattle and certainly is aimed at keeping things in perspective.
