Position: Chief Financial Officer
Hired as the Manager of Financial Compliance for the Cattlemen's Beef Board (CBB) in October 2018, Jeff Lutz has brought more than 20 years of experience in auditing and accounting of public and nonpublic companies to the Beef Checkoff. This includes nearly 10 years as Associate Director for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), about 10 years as a Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and other consulting positions. As a Manager of Financial Compliance for the CBB, Jeff's responsibilities include monitoring the Qualified State Beef Councils and contractors, as well as assisting with collection-point audits. Jeff grew up in Colorado and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license issued by the state of Colorado. Jeff is equipped with wide-ranging knowledge of audit planning and testing, internal controls, problem-solving and project management skills. He is an avid fan of the Broncos and enjoys the outdoors. Jeff and his wife, Dannell, live in Lakewood, Colorado, and have two daughters and one son.
