Jason and his family operate Schmidt Ranch, a commercial cow/calf operation in north central North Dakota. A member of Farm Bureau, NCBA, the North Dakota Cattlemen’s Association, and North Dakota Farmers Union, Jason currently serves as chairman of the Kidder County School Board and treasurer of Crystal Springs Township. Previously, he served as chairman of the North Dakota Beef Commission and president of the North Dakota Stockman’s Association.
