Born and raised in the cattle industry, Phillip’s Big D in Center Ridge, Arkansas, is a fifth-generation ranch dating back to the 1880s. After taking the helm, he purchased the first registered Brangus females and began utilizing AI for his embryo program. He currently is president of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Assoc., and has served in other industry leadership roles over the past 25 years. In 2012, the DeSalvos were named Arkansas Farm Family of the Year, and Phillip was the Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year (AR) in 2013.
