Although Jim and his wife, Kim, were both raised on small farms, their own 4J Farm in Alabama is first generation. They began as a small backgrounding operation that eventually transitioned to cow/calf. In 2002, they began offering mulching and clearing services, and expanded again later to include logging and property maintenance. Jim has served in leadership roles for his state and local cattlemen’s associations, Southeastern Livestock Expo, Clay County Rodeo, Clay County Soil and Water Conservation District, and other industry organizations.
