Raised on a family cow/calf farm in Falls County, Texas, Jared attended Texas A&M University. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he launched a veterinary practice and consulting services for cow/calf and stocker producers throughout Central Texas. He also owns and manages a backgrounding and cattle-feeding operation with his wife, Shawna. Jared is a member of Farm Bureau, Texas Cattlemen’s Association, and breed associations.
