Jake is a proud third-generation graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in animal science. Along with his dad and brother, Jake runs Cowen Cattle Company, a cow/calf, yearling stocker, backgrounder, and farming operation in Benjamin, Texas. His industry involvement has included NCBA, Farm Bureau, Texas Cattlemen’s Assoc., and the Bayer Animal Health Stocker Advisory Committee, as well as leadership roles in the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Assoc., Texas Cattle Feeders Assoc., and his local water board.
