Scott Stuart

Chief Executive Officer

Scott Stuart has been a part of the livestock industry his entire life, having grown up on his family's commercial cow/calf ranch in north-central Colorado and later in northwest Montana. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Business and Economics from Colorado State University, and attended Law School at the University of Wyoming for a short time. In 1988, Scott began his 30-year career with National Livestock Producers Association (NLPA). For four years, he maintained a position of managing the NLPA commodity futures brokerage, and in 1992 was named CEO. From 2009 to 2018, he served as managing director for the National Institute for Animal Agriculture, and since 2012, has held the position of director of administrative services for the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. On February 1, 2018, Scott took his position as CEO of the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB). He and his wife Katie reside outside of Colorado Springs and they have two grown sons, Sam and James. Scott also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, one of the nation's Top 10 professional rodeos.
