Beefing Up the 40th Marine Corps Marathon

For the second year in a row, the beef checkoff’s Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative (NEBPI) is proud to fuel runners at the 40th running of the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) in Washington, DC, on Oct. 25, 2015. The beef checkoff has fielded a group of runners under the Team BEEF banner, as well as participating in various activities throughout the weekend including the first timers pep rally.

“Athletes are very conscious of how they fuel themselves before, during and after training.  In addition to being a good or excellent source of 10 essential vitamins and minerals, beef delivers high-quality protein needed for runners to get the most of our their workouts and to preserve and build muscle,”  says Christie Brown, NEBPI Director of Promotions.  “We are proud to be supporting the largest contingency of Team BEEF runners at a Northeast road race to date at the 2015 Marine Corps Marathon!”

55 Members of Team BEEF will be participating in the 40th Marine Corps Marathon next month.  Runners are representing 19 different states including NH, MA, CT, NY, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, IL, KS, NE, OK, TX, ID, OR and Washington D.C.
