Understanding About Beef

The checkoff’s new beef volunteer guide has been fully piloted, thanks to volunteers from ANCW, and received final approval through USDA. Data was collected from 746 students through pilot program, 53 percent of whom identified that they lived in an urban area. After interaction with one lesson from the volunteer guide, students indicated the following: a 20.2% increase in recognizing beef as a part of a healthy diet; an 8.9% increase in ability to identify beef food product; and a 7% increase in plans to eat beef this week. The free, downloadable set of resources will be available at www.agfoundation.org by August 1.
