Beth Patterson is a cow-calf operator from Yates Center, Kansas and was nominated to the Beef Board by the Kansas Livestock Association and appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture in 2014. She is a graduate of Kansas State University, where she earned a degree in animal science. After college, she was employed by Monsanto's Farmers Hybrid Magnum Bull program but returned to her family's ranch two years later. She represents the fourth generation on Pringle Ranch, where she runs cow herds and yearlings with her husband and daughter, in addition to custom summer grazing pairs and yearlings, fall grazing dry cows, and starting and wintering calves. Off of the ranch, Beth has volunteered for the beef industry in a number of ways, including service as a county director, Stockgrowers Executive Committee member and past chair of the Kansas Livestock Association. She has also served on the boards of the Kansas Beef Council, Kansas Cattlewomen and Kansas Farm Bureau, in addition to serving as a past president of the Woodson County Cattlewomen and the Woodson County Farm Bureau.
