Mary Jo was nominated to the Cattlemen's Beef Board by the Arizona Cattle Feeders Association and was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to begin her first year on the Board in 2016. She has worked for Red Rock Feeding Company -- a 30,000-head commercial feedlot and 1,300 acres of farmland -- since 1996. Prior to that, she and her husband operated Rancholme Cattle Company in Decker, Montana, a 600-head cow/calf ranch. In earlier years, she worked at a feedyard in the Texas Panhandle and as a ranch hand at a commercial feedlot in Gillette, Wyoming. Mary Jo's list of volunteer activities is long, including service as treasurer for the American National CattleWomen; state officer and treasurer of the Arizona State Cowbelles; director of the Arizona Cattle Feeders Association; president of the Adkins Valley Ditch Co.; and past president of the Montana Cattlewomen's Association. She has also been a member of NCBA and the Pinal County Citizens Advisory Committee, and treasurer of the American National CattleWomen Foundation. Other service includes the Arizona Beef Council; Women Involved in Farm Economics; Arizona Farm Bureau; 4-H leadership; and a volunteer for the Arizona High School Rodeo Association. Mary Jo has two sons and enjoys reading, baseball, gardening, the outdoors, and traveling.
