Randall was nominated to the Beef Board by a caucus of the Kansas Farm Bureau, Kansas Livestock Association, Kansas Cattlewomen, Kansas Cattlemen's Association, and Dairy Farmers of America. Along with his business partners, Paul and Nancy Miller, Randall owns and operates Rock Hill Ranch, Inc. in the Flint Hills of Kansas. Rock Hill Ranch is a 350-head commercial fall and spring cow-calf operation of about 3,000 acres of native grasses and 1,700 acres of improved grasses, alfalfa, and no-till row-crop production. The ranch has hosted several international visitors, including people from Germany, Ukraine, Russia and China, as well as foodservice professionals. Randall is a graduate of the Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership program and has held several leadership positions with the Wabaunsee County Farm Bureau, Kansas Farm Bureau, and Kansas Livestock Association. He also is actively involved in St. John Lutheran Church & School and has served three years as president of the school board, which included overseeing the accreditation process for the Lutheran School.
