Daphne and her husband, Lloyd, own a farm and dairy operation, Rosy-Lane Holsteins, with their partners Tim Strobel and Jordan Matthews. The team farms 1,700 acres and milks about 950 Holstein cows. The operation ships milk to Saputo, where it’s made into cheese. Daphne's responsibilities on the farm include overseeing human resources, farm safety and animal care. She also organizes farm tours, manages the farm’s social media outreach.
Daphne was raised on a beef and hog farm near Brodhead, Wisc. She received her agricultural journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After graduation, she worked as an editor for a publishing group and as a public relations specialist, obtaining her accreditation in public relations (APR) distinction. She has been highly involved in various civic and agricultural organizations in the Watertown area, and she is a current alumni member of many others, including the Association of Women in Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Wisconsin Women for Agriculture, Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin and Dairy Business Association/Edge Dairy Cooperative.
