About ‘Natural/Organic Beef’

1) Does the beef checkoff promote natural or organic beef?
 
The beef checkoff promotes beef. As a matter of policy, it doesn’t promote one breed over another, nor one operational or “production” model over another. As the saying goes, “a rising tide lifts all boats.” So, an increase in demand for beef, in general, benefits all beef producers.
 
What we can do -- and do -- is to educate consumers  about the differences production practices and outcomes -- for example, that certified organic beef is not nutritionally different that beef raised in grass- or grain-finished beef. Learn more at Beef Choices.
