As chairman of the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, I would like to welcome you to the new Web site! It is my hope that this site will better communicate checkoff news to its members, state beef councils and producers across the country. And, be sure to sign up for the e-newsletter by using the link found at the bottom left for exclusive checkoff program stories. One more item to note – check back often as other beef and dairy producers will be lending their voice to the site by telling the checkoff story in their own words. Learn a little more about your neighbor or producers hundreds of miles away – we hope this site is just one more way to keep our industry connected.

A little more about Dave…
Dave Bateman is a fourth-generation cattleman from Oregon, Ill. Dave changed his employment status to what he refers to as semi-retired, but meanwhile still retains 40-acres of the original farm and owns 200-head of cattle that are custom fed for him. In his spare time, Dave answered a call to ministry and is an intentional interim pastor at a church in Belvidere, Ill.
