Thank you for your BEEF magazine MyBeefCheckoffCan Contest Entry!

As you learned from BEEF magazine, your beef checkoff investment helps support many programs, including protecting the industry from false information and telling consumers the true story of American agriculture. These checkoff-funded “issues-management” activities include providing consumers, media and other influencers with factual information (as well as correcting misinformation) about animal welfare, producer practices, beef safety, Beef Quality Assurance, nutrition and the impact of beef production on the environment.

Your issues management team also produces Beef Issues Quarterly, a journal providing trends intelligence to help guide the beef industry’s planning and issues management. Reports and updates provide information, and a panel of industry experts and thought-leaders provide issue forecasting and analysis about key beef industry issues. Sign up here to receive your copy.

ExploreBeef.org is another way your checkoff helps connect consumers with farmers and ranchers. Designed to provide information about the environment, animal care, safety, nutrition and raising beef, ExploreBeef touts America’s beef farmers and ranchers and the work they do every day to deliver a safe, wholesome beef product to America’s dinner tables.

Your issues-management program also works to deliver messages around Earth Day (April 22), assisted in organizing the first ever “Food Fight” and “Give Thanks” program prior to Thanksgiving 2009, and continues to defend the industry’s reputation every day.

In addition, the people who raise America's beef have created a YouTube channel to share their experiences and answer questions about how beef evolves from pasture to plate. With topics that include food safety, proper care for cattle and protection of the environment, the families in these videos will show you the effort and attention they put into providing you with nutritious, delicious beef. Visit the BeefPastureToPlate YouTube channel.
