Your Doctor’s Orders

Thanks to checkoff nutrition research distributed to health professionals, weight loss surgeon Dr. Terry Simpson, MD, recently showcased steak as a nutrient-rich, satisfying meal on his blog, Your Doctor’s Orders. He suggested a meal of steak and green beans to demonstrate how to “Eat Big But Small” by increasing consumption of foods that are “nutrient dense but calorie light” and offer satiety or a feeling of fullness – especially helpful for dieters looking for foods that can control hunger.
