Reducing Foodborne Pathogens

Read about the latest beef checkoff research review, which summarizes application of checkff-fundedinterventions proposed or implemented to date (e.g., vaccination, DFM, chlorate, phages) and looks at the effects of diet and the microbial population on microbial populations in cattle. Live-animal interventions are designed in a coherent, complementary context, as part of a multiple-hurdle scheme to reduce pathogens entry into the food supply.
