Good News About Protein
Recently published in the Journal of Nutrition, Health & Aging (Symons TB, et al. 2011;15(5):376-81) was a study titled “The anabolic response to resistance exercise and a protein-rich meal is not diminished by age”. Through this checkoff-funded study, researchers examined effects of the combination of resistance exercise and a high-quality protein diet on the gain of muscle mass in older adults.
