Nutrition Research Roadmap
The checkoff’s 2011 nutrition research program incorporates a strategic planning meeting to develop a five-year nutrition research roadmap for the beef industry. This will outline the “nutrition science pathway” that extends the checkoff’s nutrition strategy, delivers toward the goals of the new Beef Industry Long Range Plan, and prepares for the next round of dietary guidelines and related nutrition initiatives. The goal is to develop a detailed plan, including specific science needs and opportunities for communications integration. The interactive 2015 Nutrition Research Roadmap Meeting is scheduled for May 19 at the NCBA offices in Denver and will include nutrition researchers and industry thought leaders. This is a tremendous opportunity to build the scientific case to support consumer statements about beef's health benefits during the coming year.
