Japanese Tour in the U.S.
In March, the beef checkoff helped fund a tour of the U.S. beef industry for an influential group of journalists, who serve as opinion leaders for their peers in Japan. The tour took in ranches in Colorado and Texas, as well as visiting the Colorado State University (CSU) animal science lab. The journalists received a technical briefing from CSU lab staff, as well as getting insights into U.S. beef industry marketing programs funded by the Beef Checkoff Program, and an overview of food safety protocols.
