Know Farming, Know Beef!
Through its Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative, the beef checkoff is preparing to host the 2011 Beef Boot Camp on May 11, 2011 in Hadley and Hatfield, Mass. The conference will include a half day panel of speakers and presenters from the beef industry, followed by a half day farm tour on the Hatfield farm of former Beef Board Chairman Lucinda Williams. This will be an excellent opportunity for retail meat managers and department supervisors to get a firsthand understanding of modern-day farming in their region.
