Touting New Beef Cuts
Cattlemen's Beef Board Secretary/Treasurer Robert Fountain, Jr., a producer from Georgia, sent messages to producers nationwide recently about the accomplishments of their Beef Checkoff Program.
During his participation in "Trade Talk" at the annual conference of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, Fountain talked about a number of checkoff programs, including research and new-product development. The six new cuts created from the round and launched in September are just an example of the ways that the checkoff has helped enhance the value of the beef carcass, he said.
