Delivering The Beef Message

Cattleman Mike Dee from Aliceville, Ala., recently talked with Southeast Ag Network broadcaster Randall Weisman about the importance of the beef checkoff in getting the beef story out to consumers and responding directly to consumers' changing demands.

"It’s so easy for people to be negative about things,” Dee said. “(But) the checkoff helps support us, where we can get our positive message out there and show people that we are the best stewards for the land … and the product we raise is a healthy wholesome product.

“We have to keep up with the demand in the market,” he continued, “and the checkoff has helped promote the product and develop the product.”
