Changes In The Kitchen

A checkoff-funded analysis of recent shifts in America’s kitchens shows changes that impact how beef is used by consumers: Consumers are looking for faster and more convenient ways to prepare meals to meet the demands of their fast paced lives. Compounded by a decrease in the frequency of standard appliance use, this stresses the need for more ready-to-eat meals. In addition, the grill continues to play a role in the American household; nearly 40 percent of all consumers report having used the grill recently. The upshot: To keep up with the changing use of the kitchen, the beef industry must emphasize beef benefits in terms of easy preparation and the variety of cooking options available.
