Ag Teachers Curriculum
The beef checkoff’s issues-management team helped develop lessons for a National FFA curriculum of more than 150 FREE pre-packaged lessons in the Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum. Sponsored by the National Pork Board, lessons are designed to teach students to become savvy consumers. They explore agriculture from multiple perspectives – food science, animal science, natural resources, plant science, agricultural science and technology, agricultural issues and careers in agricultural sciences – to teach students where their food comes from. Foundational lessons, including “Production Agriculture and the Environment” and “Prime Rib Please! Issues Related to Animal Production” are available for download http://ffa.learn.com, and others will follow.
