Connecting With CBB Members

Raising cattle has been a life-long passion for Cattlemen's Beef Board member Dan Kniffen, a cow-calf producer in Spring Mills, Penn., and he's made it his goal to set a good example for youth considering agricultural trades for their futures. Recently, Dan sat down with freelance writer Chuck Jolley for an interview posted on CattleNetwork.

"I bring students out to the ranch so they can have hands-on experiences in the beef business," Kniffen told Jolley. "We can work with breeding, intensive grazing, and advanced beef production techniques. I even used a class to help design a handling facility here ... (and) we work to keep cattle producers aware of best management practices and the impact it can have on the quality of beef."
