Positive Beef News

When the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced a significant reduction in the incidence of illness related to E. coli O157:H7 – meeting the Healthy People 2010 goals – the beef checkoff extended the positive news. It did so by working with Sam Beattie, Ph.D., assistant professor and extension specialist in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University, to author an op-ed that was printed in the May 3 edition of the Omaha World-Herald.
