Producers Are Optimistic

U.S. farmers and ranchers are less gloomy over their financial prospects for the coming year, with beef and dairy producers among the most optimistic, according to a Rabobank survey.

More producers say they plan to buy additional land and expect higher income a year from now, though they generally remain cautious on hiring and equipment purchases, Netherlands-based Rabobank said, citing its semiannual U.S. farm and ranch survey.
