
Cooking Up New Recipes
The beef checkoff is bringing on new and diverse talent that can develop and test recipes to match the diversity of the American consumer. Three part-time recipe testing associates have recently joined the Culinary Services team, including:
- Joseph Chavez - Graduate of The Art Institute of Colorado, Culinary Arts. Joe has over 20 years of experience in editing, writing, menu concepts and development, and working within high-volume foodservice operations.
- Laura Hagen - B.A. in Communications; M.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communications; and a graduate of Cook Street School for Fine Cooking. As a former employee of Share Our Strength (SOS), she developed and executed fundraising events. Laura has also worked at Williams-Sonoma as a cooking instructor and owns a personal chef service.
- Bonnie West - B.S. in Consumer Sciences from Colorado State University. Bonnie has over 20 years experience in recipe testing, food styling, recipe screening, and project coordination with companies such as: Campbell's, Kraft, American National Cattlewomen, and General Mills.
