A cow-calf operator in Texas, Anne grew up in the cattle business and has owned cattle herself since childhood. She was nominated to the Beef Board by the Texas CattleWomen, of which she has been a member since 1977 and has served on the Executive Board. Anne also has been active with the Texas Beef Council, Texas Beef Leaders of Tomorrow, Santa Gertrudis Breeders, and the American National CattleWomen. When her husband attended veterinary school, Anne served as a soils and water technician at Texas A&M University, and then served as the business manager of their veterinary practice for 23 years. Their TZ Cattle Company is Beef Quality certified and a 30-year member of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
