Jackie is a partner in Means Ranch Company, Ltd., a family owned commercial cattle operation in Texas, and also owns the H-Y Ranch in Grant County, N.M. She was nominated to the Beef Board by the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and is also a member of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and the West of the Pecos Cattlwomen. Jackie earned her bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College. She is also a trustee of St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas, the Valentine Independent School District, and of the Means and Evans Camp of the Boys Camp Meeting Association. She and her husband, Jon, have three children.
