John Schafer is a partner in his family’s Schafer Herefords – one of the oldest Hereford herds in the country and an industry leader in performance testing. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science. John has been active in the Sibley County Farm Bureau, Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation, Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association, NCBA, Minnesota Hereford Association, Minnesota Beef Cattle Improvement Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and Hutchison Toastmasters II, to name a few.
