Sugie Sartwelle and her husband, Jim, are former livestock auction market operators who recently started a small cattle trucking company. They also are in the registered Brahman business, raising purebred Brahman and Golden Certified F.1 replacements. Sugie holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics from Texas Tech University and is active with St. John’s Episcopal Church. She has served on the boards for the Ladies of the American Brahman Breeders Association (secretary/treasurer and scholarship chairman), the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, the Texas Junior & American Junior Brahman Association, the Texas Beef Council, and the Livestock Marketing Association.
