Max Bozeman grew up on a family farm in Crenshaw County and, after earning his bachelor’s degree from Troy State University in 1975, bought a farm in Coffee County. He started in the cattle business in 1979 and now owns 300 head of cattle, including 160 commercial cows. He has also served as president and a longtime director of the Coffee County Cattlemen’s Association, as well as the Alabama Farmers Federation's state beef committee, chairman of the Coffee County bull sale committee, and a member of the county extension council.
