Joint Beef Industry Budget Committee
The Joint Beef Industry Budget Committee is an advisory committee that draws on various industry segments with the overall responsibility of considering and recommenting an industry-wide annual budget designed to meet objectives of the beef industry Long Range Plan. On the checkoff side, the committee reviews and establishes revenue projections, reviews the operating and administration costs of the Beef Checkoff Program, and recommends a CBB fiscal year budget that allocates resources to functional categories of the program.
The CBB representatives to the Joint Budget Committee work independently from the full committee to develop the Beef Board's revenue projections and non-program portion of the Beef Board's budget. The recommendation for the Beef Board budget is forwarded to the CBB Executive Committee and the Beef Promotion Operating Committee.
